Champion Race Plugs (1 Heat Range Colder)
[ChampionRace63]

 $5.00
150

These plugs dominate NGK in every way but the price...

These used to be the recommended plug on MKIV.com back in the late-90's, which is when we started using them. We have done comparison testing with these plugs versus NGK plugs on the same car, same day, same conditions, and was able to get .006" more gap (stopped there, could have maybe gotten more) out of them without missing versus NGK's, and they last MUCH longer without fouling, not to mention smoother idle, better cold start-up idle, and in theory low RPM torque/emissions thanks to the larger gap. As long as the Supra has good coilpacks, we run .035"-.040" in 'BPU' cars with no missing, and .030"-.035" on single turbo cars on race gas (depends on altitude, temperature, etc.) We've had MANY instances where a customer has came in saying they need new coil packs because they just reinstalled NGK's at .029-.032 in the last 500 miles, and the car started breaking up again up top. We install the C63YC plugs and they run great for thousands of miles as long as the car has a proper tune and has a health motor. They are one heat range colder than stock (2 ranges colder available), and unlike the NGK or most other plugs the ground strap is pulled back off the electrode, which (in theory) allows a single very strong spark instead of multiple spark locations.

Some people are shy about buying a new product...what most people dont know is that Champion plugs are listed as an OEM replacement plug for 80% of new cars, and come from the factory in Viper, etc.

We've made believers out of many people with these plugs. You can notice in the LAST image below how well the spark plug still looked after 18,000 (yes, eighteen thousand) miles in a 1997 6-speed BPU Supra Twin Turbo!
