Default radio shuts off in reverse

Not that it's a major issue, but curious if anyone else has
experienced what seems to happen consistently to me:
When I back out of my driveway with the radio on, by the
bottom of the driveway, the radio shuts off. It only happens
going in reverse. I've experienced no other electrical glitches.

That's a new one. Never happens to me.

Check the wiring diagrams.

The car's obviously still under warranty, but it's such a minor issue that
I'm almost reluctant to let the service tech's know about it when I bring
it in for service, for fear of opening a Pandora's box. You never know
what might be fouled up trying to remedy the situation.

Do you have a rear view camera installed?

Jeremy -- Good thought, but no, I don't. It's completely stock and
simply cuts out the radio, either turning it off or switching it over
to the iPod. It's such a minor thing but a little puzzling.

It may seem silly, watch your hands when you are backing out of your driveway, as you might be hitting a button on accident.

I only suggest this as while working at a Toyota dealership we had someone insist her car was broken and no one could fix it. Just before it would fall under lemon law I rode with her, and discovered she was hitting the lock switch with her elbow.

Thanks for the idea, but that isn't it. My hand position doesn't change
and out of nowhere, it simply turns off, or switches to iPod.
I'll pay particular attention, though, backing out next time to validate that.

wiring...too tight to "pull out" some connectors when reverse??? or shock each other... check your wiring.

Thanks. I'll just let the dealer have a look when I bring it in for the
6000 mile service.
