AP, no cats exhaust, carbon, non run-flat tyres - must have for me. May be interior - carbon + alcantara.

I will get an exhaust system and probably 19" track rims/tires with a bunch of extra brake pads and rotors...

I'd mildly modify it just to differentiate it from an OEM version.

his is heavily modified because most of his parts are being made, not bolt ons. BUT... even then its still heavily because he has a custom 4" exhaust, custom anti roll bars, lightweight rims and slick tires. im not allowed to go further into whats going to be done with it, but lets just say its going to have a custom tune and alot more for racing.

I think just about everyone that frequents a GT-R forum is going to mod their car. The temptation is just too great. Nissan built a brilliant car, but it's still an OEM car, with all of its compromises, and excuses for things. Take it on a road course, and you will see even more compromises and excuses. It's still a fast car, but not perfect. Do not be afraid to modify the car. Remember back in the day, when people though if you even install aftermarket wheels, the ECU would go into limp mode?

We've already added about 70whp to these cars on completely stock engine/exhaust setups. If the 350ZHR, and G37 can take 500whp all day long with aftermarket FI, then I would be embarrassed if the GT-R couldnt.

Don't worry...drive!

Talking Modify What?

No way. Even after the $33,000 front end collision from an illegal "U" turn adolescent. No, if I want a better one, I will just get the Spec V in several months and then see if that is worth modifying. Then I can have the best of both worlds with both cars.

Default Secondary Air System

I'm told this system is funtion like missfiring system, when you out of the apex it will help to maintain the tubine speed.

Same here, HKS resonated Y pipe+5Zigen SP Tune+AP stage 2. Still weighing the benefits vs cost of a custom tune. It's about perfect now.

Have no intention of any mods that alter original design with the exception of the exaust. Will install a light weight battery, switch to non-run flat tires and controversially, remove the rear spoiler and badging.

i think its crazy how much these parts are selling for. At the bottom of youre receipts you should see GTR Tax. its definitely outragous. You can buy a civic for the price of an exhaust.

Mod-ing depends on where you live as well. In Toronto, I haven't seen any GTR's... but in SoCal (where I am now) I see them all the time.

If I had one in SoCal, I'd be more prone to mod it just to make it a bit different than the other guys'.

Meh, let me get one first then I'll talk

Thumbs up i am looking at the 850HP kit for mine

i am picking my new or slightly used GTR in march once i choose a dam color!

i am thinking either the white or silver

but i am also looking at the HP kits at http://gt-rr.com/main

they have an 850HP turbo upgrade for around $6500 and a 1000HP upgrade that they are working on that is priced in the $7k range!

now lets think about this.... 850HP-1000HP with AWD INSANE!!!

they say there is a lot that needs to go into the car to support the 1000HP package and they are working on it now but i guess the 850HP one is ready.

i was thinking of the 850HP kit, wald full arrow sportline version, black rims and the stickiest tires i can find to put down that power. plus all carbon fiber interior with the backseat removed for a custom JL audio set up with 2 10" W7's in paint matched fiberglass enclosure.

i think white will look best with that whole carbon fiber and black theme

PS: i am looking to spend in the 70k range, cash, for a GTR in white or possibly silver with black interior. i am in california and not looking to get one outside cali so if you have one let me know!
