Wow that blue looks really nice on the GT-R, especially with those wheels. I like it.

I wish blue was an available color...that would have been my choice!

I too like blue. My plan was to purchase a cobalt blue Porsche before I saw the light of the GTR. Cheers.

Nice, on a Porsche I like Lapis Blue and Cobalt Blue, but if I were to get another one it would be Basalt Black.

It has been interesting to watch this poll's results change over time! White was #1 for a long time, and now it is no longer in the lead and is close to being passed for 2nd as well!

Ha, it's probably from me persuading everyone that Black is where it's at.

Here is a reply from a Texas dealer "confirming" that silver will cause significant delay times.

"Exciting news here in Fort Worth, TX! All of us here at Thornhill Nissan feel privileged that Nissan North America (NNA) is allowing our dealership the ability to special order three new 2009 Nissan GTRs to specific customer specs. We will literally be able to build the Nissan GTR to exactly how they request! I understand that you made an inquiry on the GTR to our dealership and I wanted to personally respond in that we are now prepared to take orders. We are excepting a $15,000 deposit on each GTR that you can apply to the price of your new GTR on delivery. Several bits of GTR news from Nissan:

• Destination & Handling (D&H) pricing have yet to be released for the GTR. We understand that NNA is looking at using a special custom delivery service instead of the normal car transporters to bring the vehicles from the port to our dealership. We do know this, your GTR will be delivered specifically to the Executive Manager of Thornhill Nissan, only our Service Manager can write service on a GTR, and we will have a specially trained Master Technician who is qualified to service a GTR. We have also purchased several pieces of service equipment to become compliant and fully qualified as a GTR-Certified Dealership.
• Super Silver ($3,000 Premium paint job) is unavailable for the near term, as it is sold out for at least the first 4 months of start-up GTR production for vehicles coming to the USA. You can order it, but it will significantly delay deliveries.
• We will not order the COLD PACKAGE for any Texas deliveries per Nissan North America. The issue is that the glycol/water mix is unsuitable for almost all of the driving patterns in the 48 states, and NNA is questioning every order with that is submitted with the Cold Package.
• The orders work as specific matches are made between sold spec orders and matching them with the Japan production bound for the USA. Each regional area for NNA is currently being allocated monthly GTR production flow, that their assigned Nissan dealerships submit sold orders against. Production is fixed out of Japan, but you can spec your vehicle and Nissan will match it up to a vehicle coming off of the line if you are early in the order process.
• Adjusted Market Values (AMV) occur when dealers perceive that the market will pay a higher premium for a specific vehicle than what the manufacturer suggested for the retail price. AMVs are all over the place with the 2009 Nissan GTR with most dealers in the South Central states requiring a $20-25K premium, and some Nissan dealers have charged as high as a $100,000 AMV premium. The Thornhill Auto Group has some experience with AMVs with all of our franchises in Texas. It’s nice to recently have had popular products like the Pontiac GTO, Ford GT, and just recently the new KR500 Mustang that all demanded premiums based upon supply and demand, yet we were very reasonable with our select customers. Thornhill Nissan is charging only a $15,000 AMV on each of our 2009 Nissan GTRs.

The attached link will take you to the Thornhill Nissan website where we have developed an overview on the GTR, but as a sports car buff I’m sure you already have researched the web for information on this great car. A GTR order form is also attached to the link should you be interested. The 2009 Nissan GTR is unmistakable a new leader in the super car ranks. Order yours today at Thornhill Nissan of Fort Worth. "

Nice, that's the "Pearl Orange". I'm sure for $5 - $10k you can make it look like that.

You sir, have good taste. How much is your shop charging you to paint it that color? (does it void the warranty? j/k)

Here are a couple of my favorite pics of the Ferrari 599 in flat black. It's definitely sick.

Nissan designed the cockpit to look like a stealth bomber. The flat black would make it look just like one. I'd like to see someone paint theirs this color and take a pic next to a stealth bomber.

Btw, anyone ever had a flat black car or know someone that does? Is it hard to maintain? It seems like it would scratch easily.

For all you BLUE fans, blue is an option on the next orders of GTRs in Japan!
This was the word form my buddies back in the land of the rising sun, looks like the SPEC V (formally the V Spec) will also be available...I cant wait to see!

I have owned a car in almost every color I know of...My R33 was in White and so was my WRX in Seattle...So I will get white, ummm or Gun Metal...

That pic ATL-Porche posted in Super Silver was sick, but for $3K, I would rather save up a little more and get me a custom color! I plan on painting the baby to something different! I love that FLATT BLACK!

Man I cant wait to see everyones GTR in person! would be cool to run with you ALL!

My Favourite colour is the gun metal grey. With the smoke grey wheels I think it will offer all the stealthy appeal of the black option but will be a lot easier to keep clean and won't show up thoses inevatible blemishes.
