Default Power Steering wheel lock ... beware

Guys beware of your GTR power steering lock....it can fail suddenly and then you have to tow your car to a workshop and wait 3 weeks for parts to arrive from Japan.

This happened to me recently at a SHELL station near Subang Jaya. Luckily ST Wangan had the spare part in stock and I got my car repaired in 2 hours....very expensive.

Look at this u tube video to see what it looks like :

Please note : This is a common problem.

The spare part looks like this :

Default Better service than buying normal cars

Hello Guys,

After owning my GTR for 1 year 4 months, I must say that I can get better service for this car than I can get for my 335i, Golf GTI, my CLS or my Cayman S.

I might have been lucky but whenever I need parts or service, its always immediate...no need to wait like a dumb ass at Glenmarie ( some of u may know which car I am referring to)

Parts are so easy to obtain....a few phone calls around and parts are available withnin a week ( unlike what I expereinced... a 3 months wait for a warranty replacement for the Glenmarie car).

Guys who are hesitant about buying GTR...dont hesitate.

Dont listen to stupid comments like it drives like a video game. The fact is you and me , we are not expert drivers. We need the electronics to help us drive this car well.

And indeed it drives like a rocket. Just make sure you upgrade your brakes before you do any mods becuase your life is more precious that horsepower.

Cheers !!

Pete

Yes Peter ^^, we really enjoy the ride.

And just receive a new method to prevent steering lock malfunction ~ "On" the start button first then press brake/ push start button again.

it reduce the lock electric surge.

btw, JDM chasis number 5000 above upgrade the lock already.
