Question 2010 Steering Wheel Seek Button

Hi Folks,

The question is around the Seek button operation on the steering wheel.

I am noticing what I would say is unexpected behavior and wanted to get confirmation from members of the forum how your 'Seek' button behaves. I consulted the manuals but did not see anything explaining this.

Background:
- Assume there are 6 x FM stations programmed (Preset 1 through Preset 6)
- Assume that the Radio is at Preset 3.

When pressing the Seek button Up (towards the roof of the car) - it changes the preset station to go down to Preset 2.

When pressing the Seek button Down (towards the floor of the car) - it changes the preset station to go down to Preset 3.

Is this the normal operation on your vehicles or do I have an electronic anomaly that needs to be looked at?

The reason I ask is because this is not the behavior I have seen on other vehicles. When operating the seek button on steering wheels of other vehicles, pressing Up moves the Preset Up (from 3 to 4) and pressing Down moves the Preset Down (from 3 to 2).

Confused and would appreciate confirmation on normal/expected operation.

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up This is normal

Quick update. Found out that this is normal from the perspective of scrolling the multi-function display.
