Default does your GTR do this?

im curious to know if your GTR's are acting this way?

1) when making tight u-turns its jerky at times not always. weird not sure why.
2) tranny sometimes shifts early even in R mode.
3) when i close the trunk it automatically opens by itself
4) not sure if its just me but i think i smell clutch if i boost it from low rpm to redline rather then building the revs up to about 4 grand then punching it.

can i reset the ecu or tranny on my own like i did my 05 E55.

2) tranny sometimes shifts early even in R mode. All a function of throttle pressure, I believe. At least on my car.
3) when i close the trunk it automatically opens by itself I've been known to accidentally tap the "trunk" button on my key. I've also been known to not fully close the trunk.
4) not sure if its just me but i think i smell clutch if i boost it from low rpm to redline rather then building the revs up to about 4 grand then punching it. This is a new one one for me.
can i reset the ecu or tranny on my own like i did my 05 E55. I'm not a gear head, so I'll leave this one to others.

1. this may have to do with the two adjustments that can be done electronically to the car's transmission. Tell your dealer about this at the 1000 mile service when they adjust the clutches via TCM.

2. higher throttle position will make the car run to a higher RPM before shifting. However, in general the GTR does shift fairly early when you drive in automatic mode.

3. I've experienced this as well. Just make sure to close it firmly and this should not happen.

4. It is probably something else, as the twin cluches inside the transmission case are 'wet' and therefore shouldn't give off a smell.

5. To scan and reset any ECU or trans trouble codes, you'll need a good OBD2 with compatible protocol, or an AccessPORT.

Self-admittedly, not a gear head. Sorry I bothered.

1. It depends on the type of differentials. In really tight turns, the effective turning radius of the front wheels is different than the rear, so you get a "crabbing" effect. In fully locked center differential cars (or trucks) the effect is extreme, in those with torsen (torque sensing) center diffs, the effect is totally unnoticible. In a vehicle with a modulated center like the GTR, it depends, but since there is always some transfer occuring, you will get some crabbing effect.
2-4. As for the others...I'll let you know if mine does it in march when I get it (new user, hello!)

Ad. 3. Once I tried to close the trunk with my bag inside, and I couldn't anyway, and was really mad about nissan quality control. Than I realized that I left second key inside. I was really happy about Nissan engineers.

I ran through real nightmare with first Porsche Cayenne Turbo so I thought that the story was the same.
