Default OBD System recall

Has anyone been in for the voluntary emission recall to reprogram the engine control module?

Did you get a recall from your Dealer to reprogram the engine control module?? I have not received any notification yet. Is this something I should contact the Dealer about??

Wonder if Nissan will eventually slip in Launch Control removal on one of these recalls?

FYI...

Got my recall in the mail today. It says it about an hour of work. The dealer is suppose to provide you a cerficate showing this was completed. This is reqiuired for California GTRs for the next registration. The recall states that it has not effect on fuel consumption, driveablity, performance or safety.

Just wanted to provide an update!!

Thanks!!

I received my OBD system recall notice. This is what it said - "The completion rate of the evaporative emission monitor is not currently meeting the in-use monitoring requirements."

I called the dealer and they said come in Wednesday morning for about an hour.

I purchased my GTR in Nevada and drove it back and registered in California. Passed smog no problem. I think this might be somewhat of a ruse to throw in some other programming.

It is not limited to just the GTR. I heard about this recall a few weeks before I got my letter. It is virtually all 2008 Nissans.
