Default Rear Tortion Bar Issue

Just took delivery of my 2010 and had her on the lift, only to notice a possible defect caused by transport. I noticed the tortion bars in the rear, which are tubular in design have been compromised. I do not believe this is by design but due to possible tie down in transport. Would appreciate feed back as to whether this is by design or mishandling. Left to right respectively.

Those are not damaged... My 2009 GT-R has the same indentations. Read the edmunds suspension walkaround:

Thanks for the information. Kind of thought it was intential as the driver side is indented on the upper side and the passenger on the lower side. Still no clue as to the reason?
