Default Split front bumper valance

Can anyone tell me if there is any repair alternative to this problem other than a very costly $2,000+ replacement. I caught the lower valance area on the front bumper on top of a cement parking curb. Unfortunately the rebar holding it into the asphalt below was sitting up about 2 inches above the curbing itself. It caught on the underneath of the front valance and split the valance underneath and about 3 inches up the front. The dealer's tech was able to place it back under the fastener underneath but he said I should get it fixed as it would not hold under extreme speed. It seems crazy that something so small can't be repaired in some way. Ironically I was visiting my insurance agent's office when this occurred, so they are ready for the claim. Anybody have any advice? Thanks

Here you go. This picture shows how it looks now that the crack was realigned and the fastener underneath was placed back over the two pieces. The split occurred at the fastener underneath and then came forward and up the front. The crack is visible in the middle of the photo. Zoom in if necessary. Thanks.

That's the front lip spoiler. You can replace it with an aftermarket one if your insurance is covering it.

Titek one is very nice and we can get them pretty fast.

Perhaps the perfect opportunity to add a more radical aftermarket front spoiler?

Default Prevention Front End Damage

I have scraped the front end twice now on entry to parking lots. My Audi A8 has adjustable suspension to lift and lower car for these situations. Porsche 911 has this factory option.

Anyone aware of after market solution to lift the bilstein's on the GTR?

Jim

I haven't seen anything like this for the GT-R.

Also, in response to the opening post, if you want to replace your stock lip with a carbon fiber one that isn't any lower than the stock lip, check this one out:

There is one of these lips (wet/gloss carbon fiber) in stock and ready to ship if you are interested!
