Default 0 -- 60 times for a stock GTR

While the quarter mile times for (mostly) modified GTRs is
interesting, I'm curious as to what kind of 0 -- 60 times
people are getting with a stock GTR. I had mine at the track
this past week for the first time and while quick, I wasn't blown away by the performance. It may simply be that the speed comes on so seamlessly, but it didn't feel like it would
do 0 -- 60 in the low three second range. What kind of numbers are people getting with a stock set up? Thanks.

That's certainly quick, but not otherworldly, as we've come to
expect from the various publications. Thanks.

That's true. But, I think the dealer didn't set my transmission Clutch B touchpoint to +2 as recommended by Nissan.

I have my 12 month POS on Wednesday. I will instruct my dealer to set it to +2. Hopefully, it will knock off a few 10ths...

My best is just over 4 sec at 4. something... I was trying to capture it but not too easy. I'm personally waiting for winter over here in the GCC as with 45 degree ambient temp and 85 percent + humidity that does not equal ultra performance. That time was with LC2 with new method (dropping rev to foot plant to get 3500rpm).

Would you mind explaining what you mean regarding
"clutch B touchpoint to +2?" Thanks.

During your POS or performance optimization service that is performed at 1000 miles, 1, 2, & 3 yrs the GT-R tech will do a clutch gear learning. After, you can request clutch A & B touchpoints and capacities be adjusted.

I think the touchpoints affect how far the clutch is disengaged while the capacities determine how quickly the clutch re-engages.

The touchpoint for clutch B also determines how much the car will creep with the brake off at standstill...

interesting, is there a thread regarding this? I am close to my first POS and dont want you to retype this information, but maybe someone has a quick link to options you get during the POS?

I know you get to pick street or track setup only so far.

Please remember that for accurate 0-60 testing you need a GPS based monitor. The Cobb and other OBD II devices will be inaccurate because of wheel spin . Also note that magazines and others have a different method of calculating ( roll out etc. ) . I personally don't give the 0-60 / Drag ET much importance especially with the GT-R . Lap Times however is something that is growing on me. I did one track day a while back and am hooked. Can't wait for the next session.
